Dive deeper into the agricultural world of pineapples grown in Hawaii. This tour will take you to a working farm where you’ll be inspired and educated on the inner-workings of how pineapples are cultivated, planted, and packed. (*Denotes a stop)
• Greenworld Coffee Farm*: A flavorful detour for a quick coffee sampling or for your breakfast smoothie and pastry fill.
• Dole Pineapple Farm and Pack House*: First you will enter the working fields at the Dole plantation and watch the tractors and farmers harvesting or planting pineapple. After you leave the packing plant, you’ll be rewarded with the knowledge and appreciation of Hawaii’s agricultural system. Explore your senses by trying the sweet taste of the dole pineapple, Waialua chocolates and Waialua Coffee part of the Dole brands of farm products.
• Waialua Sugar Mill: The historic Waialua Sugar Mill, once a thriving sugarcane plantation is now a unique retail store sourcing the Waialua Coffee and Chocolate Mill. Here you can also pickup many local flavors such as Hawaii’s Best papaya salad dressing, Uncle Mikey’s dried pineapple, Maui jelly and jams, Manoa Honey and many more. (if time permits)
• North Shore beaches:* Enroute a stop is made at a North Shore beach made famous by the many surf competition you may have seen on TV. With luck, a monk seal, turtles or two may be seen bathing in the sand…a great photo op!
• Local Lunch:* Tantalize your taste buds as we stop for lunch at a local culinary location and savor the flavor of the islands. Lunch is not included so please be sure to bring cash or credit card.
• Old Haleiwa Town:* a charming step back into Hawaii’s sugar plantation era. Wander through boutique shops, surf stores, and savor iconic shaved ice if you choose, in this quaint historically-rich town.
