Munro Trail - Lanai

The Munro Trail is a 12.8 mile hiking, biking, and driving trail named after George Munro, the New Zealand naturalist who arrived in 1890 and introduced the majestic Cook pine trees.
The trail can only be driven in a rented 4-wheel drive vehicle and can also be hiked or biked. This trail offers spectacular views of the neighboring islands and takes you through a rain forest filled with Ironwood, Eucalyptus, Ohia Lehua, and Pine Trees. At the top of the trail you will get to experience Lanai Hale - Lanai's highest peak at 3,370 feet.
Please note that conditions are tricky in some spots especially after rain. DO NOT drive if conditions are muddy. Bring a jacket, food, water and make sure your vehicle has a full tank of gas.
