One of the longest sand beaches on Oahu. In the summer, Sunset Beach is beautiful, calm and great for swimming and snorkeling. There are also little tide pools that are great for shell collecting. During the winter months Sunset is home to waves as large as 20ft. high. Swimming and snorkeling are not recommended during the winter months (October - April) due to large waves and the notorious Sunset Rip, a very strong rip tide current. During June - September incidents of a stinging limu have been reported.
